A Journey That Shaped Our Kitchen

Cathy’s Kitchen grew from a six-week trip through 15 states, where each stop inspired dishes shaped by family traditions, shared learning, and a long journey across America.

A Journey That Started It All

Eating our way across the country was the first big step. Once food became my future, we built a six-week trip to learn from cooks in every region. We followed trusted guides to find spots with rich history and strong traditions. With 15 states in our plan and more than 45 meals enjoyed, the idea for Cathy’s Kitchen took shape. That journey helped create the spirit behind every dish we serve today.

Growing a Family Legacy

Growing a Family Legacy

2025 brings new doors for Jerome and me as we grow Cathy’s Kitchen and the C. Jenkins Company. After 35 years of marriage and raising three wonderful children, it’s time to welcome everyone into the business. We look ahead with pride as our family works together to build the next chapter of our company. Each day brings a new chance to grow, share, and welcome more guests into our world.

Food From Every Corner

Cathy’s Kitchen brings dishes from all over the country to one warm, friendly place. I’ve spent years exploring this nation to find unique meals that carry stories worth sharing with others. My goal is to place my own personal touch on these treasured recipes and offer them to every guest who walks through our doors. Each visit reflects a journey shaped by history and real family roots.

The Next Generation Leads

The future of Cathy’s Kitchen is bright. Our daughters, Cathy Jenkins and Micah Jenkins, both graduated from the University of Missouri with strong backgrounds in Agriculture and Hospitality. While Michael Jenkins brings his expertise in business management. With their training, paired with years of guidance at home, our family can clearly see that Cathy’s Kitchen will continue serving the community for years to come.
Lessons From Home

Lessons From Home

For more than 30 years, I’ve traveled across this country learning from cooks who carry recipes passed through their families. Those lessons continue to shape the meals we share today. Nothing compares to earning approval at the Sunday meal, the most important test in many homes. Once my family and friends believed in my cooking, I knew my culinary path had begun.
