Food is my life
Over the past 30 years I have traveled across this great country in search of delicious foods. Most of my inspirations comes from recipes that have been past down from generation to generation. Nothing is greater than learning to cook the most popular dishes in the family. The Sunday meal in the African-American community is the first class you must pass. Once I received the approval of my family and my friends I was ready to began my culinary adventure.
Once I decided that food would be my future we planned a 6 week long road trip around this country to learn and taste food from every culture. This entire trip was planned around the Food Channel recommendations on places to eat in each state. With 15 states on the menu and over 45 meals later Cathy's Kitchen was born!
